The B kind Club, started by our very own Virginia, is one of many student clubs at St. Luke's.
Every year, there seems to be an assortment of new clubs that come and go due to lack of commitment from the leaders, and low student turnout. It is immediately clear, however, that this is not the case with one of newest additions to the lineup, the B Kind club. Started by junior Virginia Mahoney, this group exemplifies the St. Lukes values of inclusion, service, and, of course, kindness. When the Sentinel interviewed Mahoney, she was nothing but optimistic about the direction in which the club was headed (and with a starting roster of over eighty signups, it’s clear the student body agrees). She created the B Kind club in memoriam of her father, the late Bill Mahoney, a warmhearted and caring man who had a huge influence on the lives of many St. Luke’s students, alumni, and faculty members. According to Virginia, this group is a great way to “carry on his legacy” by increasing the role of kindness in the SLS community.
